The NPN Transistor acts as a switch or amplifier. With no current at the base, there will be no current flow from collector to emitter. However, a small amount of current to the base will allow a large current to flow through the collector and emitter.

The NPN Transistor module contains an NPN Transistor and a resistor in the wire leading up to the base to protect it. There are also to diodes to protect the transistor by ensuring that current does not flow into the transistor the wrong way. When there is even a small amount of current at the base foot, there is a current large enough to turn on the transistor, allowing a large current to flow through from the collector to the emitter. This allows you to show a small change at the base to be shown as a large one through the emitter and collector.

The Blinker module turns a direct current input into a square wave output, allowing you to make LEDs blink and Buzzers beep. It has a green LED flashing in time with the output and a red LED to indicate if power is connected the wrong way. You can change the blinking rate by turning the wheel!

The Motor module operates between 8V and 12V. By flipping the module around, you can get the motor spinning in either direction. It comes with a soft foam wheel to visualize its rotation, but you can also create your own propellers or paper crafts to put on top!

The Buzzer module plays a 4kHz tone. The volume of the buzzer can be adjusted by changing the the amount of power running through it. The plus and minus signs indicate the direction in which it operates.
